GeneralShowcase Information

The presentation is for students to showcase their talents to friends and family and to gain the confidance required for being "in the spotlight". Dance Emotion created Showcase Week  to provide this without incurring extra costs to families. Dance Emotion’s costume shop creates and provides most of the costumes for all performances. Female students are requested to wear tan tights and a plain black leotard for the performance (gymnasts and hip-hop dancers need only the leotard). The leotard can be any style but plain tank is preferred. Male students are given individual lists of what to wear. With basics worn by the students, we create an incredible, free show that most studios would charge each dancer nearly $1000 to be in.  

Showcase Week is last week of each season. Most classes present their own showcase (another bonus for families in that each show is intimate and tailored to each class). Students should report to “The Shed” (the downstairs studio at scheduled time.

Shows will be in “The Loft” (upstairs). We will do our best to accommodate everyone.

 

 

Check-List

Required

• Black Leotard
• Tan Tights
• All Dance Shoes (polished with names written inside them and in a bag)
• Hair should be picture ready, French braids or buns are best. Most costumes have headpieces so do not use bows or visible clips.
• A Big Smile.

 

Other Notes

• Cameras of all types are welcome. No tripods please!
• Performers can wear make-up if they choose to.
• Tights are required. Underwear should not be worn under tights. Danskin tights are the best.
• Dancers should arrive at Dance Emotion dressed in dancewear.
• Admission is free but space is limited (seating and parking), Please carpool.
• Don’t stress your dancer and yourself by running late,
• Enjoy the show!

 

                

 

All students should arrive 30 minutes before show time. 

Be dressed and ready in black leotard and tan tights.

Hair should be pulled flat to the head. Buns are preferred for all dancers.

Do not be late! All shows will start on time.
